The depth takes two or three scoops of ice cream without meltwater running over the rim, and the same size works for yoghurt with fruit or a small dessert portion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach bowl is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay, and the rim is waved by hand while the clay is still soft, so the crest and dip of the edge are set piece by piece rather than pressed from a mould.
