It is wider and flatter than the rosa version of the same series, so it works less as a container and more as a raised surface: a place to set fruit, a few pieces of bread, or jewellery at the end of the day.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEach piece is thrown on the wheel from creme stoneware clay, with the foot thrown separately and joined while both parts are still soft. A clear glossy glaze covers the whole piece inside and out, which leaves the warm creme tone of the clay visible rather than covering it with colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe body is fired until it vitrifies, so the bowl stays food-safe without further sealing.
