Product Description
A stoneware coffee cup with a partial black glossy glaze on the exterior, made in Germany.
The form is cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 7.5 cm and H 6.5 cm, holding 200 ml — a contained volume well suited to flat white, cappuccino, filter coffee, or iced drinks in summer.
Each cup is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The exterior is partially finished with a black glossy glaze, applied by hand so the line where the black meets the raw stoneware shifts from cup to cup. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze. The contrast between deep black gloss and the matte texture of the clay is the defining detail of the piece.
For specialty coffee at home or in a café setting, including hand-brewed coffee and iced drinks.
