Description
A four session pottery course for anyone who already has basic experience with wheel throwing and wants to develop their skills in a calm and focused studio setting. Each class lasts 2 hours and includes all materials: clay, glaze and firing.
This intermediate pottery class takes place in our ceramics studio in Frankfurt and is limited to eight participants. The group size gives you enough space to practise on the wheel while still receiving personal guidance whenever you need it.
If you enjoyed your first pottery class and want to continue learning, this workshop supports you in building confidence at the wheel. You will explore new techniques, work with larger amounts of clay and learn how to throw more consistent shapes. The course helps you move from beginner level to more advanced wheel throwing.
What you will learn
Session 1 and 2: Wheel throwing with more than 1 kg of clay, creating series and plate forms
Session 3: Trimming, attaching handles, basic decorating techniques
Session 4: Glazing your ceramic pieces
If you are unsure whether this class is the right fit for you and you would prefer to start with a beginner class, you can find our beginner courses here.
Your finished ceramics will be ready for pickup about one week after the final class. Please note that we can only store pieces for up to two months due to limited space in the studio.
All sessions are fixed dates and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
