The tools and refills that keep the matcha ritual going: bamboo whisks, a sifter, a measuring spoon and a 30 g refill for every tea in the range.
Tools
The classic chasen carries 100 bamboo prongs and whisks matcha lump-free and foamy. The fine-mesh stainless steel sifter comes with its own saucer and breaks up the clumps that form in the tin, and the stainless steel spoon holds 2 to 2.5 g level, the amount for one serving, so the dose stays the same from cup to cup without a scale.
Refills
Every tea is sold as a 30 g tin and as a 30 g refill, roughly 15 servings each: Organic Ceremonial Matcha, Organic Ceremonial Matcha Supreme, the Limited Edition Uji Matcha and Organic Hojicha Powder. The refill tops up the tin instead of replacing it.
Care
Soak a new whisk in warm water for a few minutes before its first use and rinse it after every use, so the prongs keep their shape and the whisk lasts.
