A single object, made with one partner: the Butter Dish we developed together with Maison Palmé, the Berlin content studio. Their eye for form met our way of working with clay, and the result is a lidded dish built for the breakfast table rather than for display.
What the collaboration produced
One piece, in one glaze, in one size. The dish is made from spotted stoneware clay in our studio in Germany, the same clay body we use across the collection, and finished with food-safe glazes. The lid carries a transparent glossy glaze all over. The plate is glossy on the inside, where the butter sits, and left unglazed on the outside, so the speckled clay stays visible and the dish holds its place on the table.
The measurements
The plate measures 13 cm across and 1.5 cm high. The lid measures 11 cm across and 7.5 cm high, so the closed dish stands 9 cm tall. Together the two parts weigh 900 g.
