Product Description
A stoneware coffee cup from the Nomi series, painted by hand with glossy black brush strokes, made in Germany.
The form is cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 7.5 cm and H 6 cm, holding 180 ml — a contained volume suited to espresso, flat white, or a small filter coffee. Nomi means “to drink” in Japanese; the series carries that spare, everyday character.
Each cup is thrown on the wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze; on the exterior, free black brush strokes are painted directly onto the unglazed clay. Because each cup is brushed by hand, the rhythm and density of the strokes vary from piece to piece — no two cups are identical.
For specialty coffee in a quiet morning ritual, or as part of a layered tea-and-coffee setting alongside the rest of the Nomi series.
