Product Description
A stoneware pasta bowl in creme with a wide rim and a deep centre, made in Germany.
The form combines a broad rim with a well in the middle, Ø 22 cm and H 6 cm. The rim frames the portion and gives a fork somewhere to rest, while the deep centre holds the sauce instead of letting it run to the edge. Pasta, risotto, curry and larger salads all sit well in it.
Each bowl is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. A soft creme glaze covers the bowl inside and out and stays glossy after firing. Small differences in glaze thickness and tone occur between pieces, so no two bowls are exactly alike.
For pasta, risotto, curry, or a substantial salad served as a main course.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
