Espresso Cup – Blue Gradient
Product Description
The Espresso Cup Blue Gradient is handmade in our Frankfurt studio and thrown on the potter’s wheel. The shape is compact and cylindrical, with straight walls and a stable base. The smaller format is specifically designed for espresso and concentrated coffee beverages.
The exterior features a smooth gradient from a deep blue at the base to a lighter blue towards the rim. The transition is created through controlled hand application of the glaze. Subtle variations in tone and flow make each piece individual while remaining consistent within the series.
The interior is finished with a transparent, food safe glaze. We use food safe glazes only. The espresso cup is dishwasher safe and designed for daily use in both private kitchens and professional café environments.
Ideal for specialty coffee such as espresso or ristretto, this cup can also be used for small servings of filter coffee. The solid wall thickness supports temperature stability.
Handmade and handcrafted in Germany. Each piece is individually inspected. Variations in glaze transition are characteristic of the made by hand production process.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
