Espresso Cup – Splash Red
Product Description
The Espresso Cup Splash Red is handmade in our Frankfurt studio and thrown on the potter’s wheel. The shape is compact and cylindrical with clean lines and a stable base. The smaller format is designed specifically for espresso and other concentrated specialty coffee beverages.
A defining feature is the partially applied red glaze on the exterior. The glaze is applied by hand in a free movement, creating an organic splash effect around the cup. The exact shape and extension of the red area vary from piece to piece, making each espresso cup individual while remaining part of the same series. Parts of the exterior remain unglazed, revealing the matte texture of the stoneware in contrast to the glossy glaze.
The interior is fully coated with a transparent, food safe glaze. We use food safe glazes only. The cup is dishwasher safe and suitable for everyday use in both private kitchens and professional café settings.
Ideal for specialty coffee such as espresso or ristretto, this cup can also be used for small servings of filter coffee. The wall thickness supports temperature stability.
Handmade and handcrafted in Germany. Each piece is individually inspected. Variations in glaze application are characteristic of the made by hand production process.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
