Product Description
This set includes four Espresso Cups in the Splash Red finish. Each cup is handmade in our Frankfurt studio and thrown on the potter’s wheel. The shape is compact and cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base. The smaller format is specifically designed for espresso and concentrated specialty coffee.
A defining feature is the partially applied red glaze on the exterior. The glaze is applied by hand in a free, organic movement around the body of the cup. The exact shape, extension and intensity of the red area vary from piece to piece. Within the set, each espresso cup is individual while remaining clearly part of the same series. Parts of the exterior remain unglazed, revealing the matte texture of the stoneware in contrast to the glossy glaze.
The interior is fully coated with a transparent, food safe glaze. We use food safe glazes only. All espresso cups are dishwasher safe and designed for everyday use in both private kitchens and professional café environments.
Ideal for specialty coffee such as espresso or ristretto, the cups can also be used for small servings of filter coffee. The proportions and wall thickness support temperature stability and a comfortable grip.
As each piece is handmade and crafted individually, variations in glaze application are characteristic of the made by hand production process. The set offers a consistent and high-quality solution for home and professional use.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
