The Handmade Ceramic Coffee Cup Set Blue & Gold is crafted in our Frankfurt studio as part of a limited collaboration with the Düsseldorf-based jewelry brand Ariane Ernst. This Handmade Ceramic Coffee Cup Set combines three pieces – an espresso cup, a coffee cup and a saucer – into a cohesive set that reflects a shared approach to craftsmanship and detail.
Each element of this Handmade Ceramic Coffee Cup Set is made from high-quality stoneware and shaped by hand before being fired at high temperatures. The blue glaze is applied manually and creates a smooth surface with subtle variations in tone and depth. The gold details are painted by hand on every piece, forming fine lines that wrap around the cups and define the center of the saucer. Slight differences in line thickness and placement are part of the handmade process and give each set its individual character while maintaining a consistent overall appearance.
The proportions are designed for everyday use and cover different coffee preparations. The espresso cup is suited for concentrated drinks, while the larger coffee cup works for flat white, cappuccino or filter coffee. The saucer provides a stable base and can also be used as a small plate for pastries or side servings. Together, the pieces create a functional and visually balanced arrangement.
Made from high-fired stoneware and finished with food safe glazes, the set is durable and suitable for regular use. Due to the hand-painted gold details, hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish over time. Each Handmade Ceramic Coffee Cup Set is inspected before leaving our studio to ensure quality and consistency.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
