Planter - Splash Red
Product Description
The Planter Splash Red is handmade in our Frankfurt studio and thrown on the potter’s wheel. The shape is clean and cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base. Each planter is individually crafted, carefully finished and high fired.
A defining feature of this model is the partially applied red glaze on the exterior. The glaze is applied by hand in an organic movement around the body of the planter. The exact shape and intensity of the splash motif vary from piece to piece, making each planter individual while remaining consistent within the series. Parts of the surface remain unglazed, revealing the matte texture of the stoneware in contrast to the glossy red glaze.
The planter is suitable for indoor plants, herbs or small arrangements. It does not include a drainage hole and is designed to be used as a cover pot. For direct planting, we recommend using an inner pot or adding a drainage layer.
Made from high-fired stoneware, the planter is durable and designed for long-term use. Handmade and handcrafted in Germany. Each piece is individually inspected. Variations in glaze application are characteristic of the made by hand production process.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
