Dinner Plate - Splash Red
Product Description
A stoneware dinner plate with a red splash glaze, made in Germany.
The form is cylindrical and flat, with a clean vertical edge rather than a curved rim. At Ø 23.5 cm it carries a full main course, whether pasta, fish, or a composed plate of vegetables, and reads as restrained on the table because the rim does not interrupt the line.
Each piece is shaped from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. The finished ceramic is food-safe. The interior carries a single splash of red glaze applied by hand, and the surrounding areas are finished in a transparent glossy glaze that lets the clay body show through. Because the red is poured rather than painted, no two plates are identical: the spread, density, and edge of the splash vary from piece to piece.
For main courses, pasta, composed plates, or as a serving plate at the centre of the table.
Ø 23.5 cm · H 1.5 cm · 530 g · Stoneware, fired at 1220 °C · Glossy red and transparent glaze · Dishwasher safe · Made in Germany
