Breakfast Bowl - Nomi Iceblue
Product Description
A stoneware breakfast bowl from the Nomi series, fully glazed in ice blue, made in Germany.
The form is compact and rounded with curved walls and a stable base, Ø 15.5 cm and H 6 cm. The proportion holds a single portion of muesli with yoghurt and fruit, a small soup, or a side of rice. Nomi means “to drink” in Japanese; the series carries that spare, everyday character extended into bowls.
Each bowl is thrown on the wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The glaze is an even, cool ice blue applied to the whole bowl — interior and exterior — and forms a smooth glossy surface in firing. Slight differences in glaze depth and gloss occur between pieces, but the colour is consistent.
For muesli, yoghurt, small soups, side dishes, or as part of a layered table setting alongside the rest of the Nomi series.
