Egg Cup - Neon Yellow
Product Description
A small stoneware egg cup in glossy neon yellow, made in Germany.
The form is a slim cylinder with a narrow base and slightly wider opening, Ø 5,5 cm and H 5 cm, holding a single soft-boiled or hard-boiled egg upright at the breakfast table. The proportion reads as a quiet, defined object next to a plate or saucer.
Each egg cup is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. A glossy neon yellow glaze covers the cup inside and out. The colour is bright and saturated; slight differences in glaze depth occur between pieces.
For soft- or hard-boiled eggs at the breakfast table, or as a small holder for matchsticks, a single flower, or condiments.
