The handmade stoneware egg cup is crafted in our Frankfurt studio and designed as a compact ceramic object for everyday use at the breakfast table. This handmade stoneware egg cup is made from high-quality stoneware and finished with a soft pink glaze that highlights the smooth form and rounded rim. The minimal silhouette keeps the design clear and functional while adding a subtle color accent to the table.
Each handmade stoneware egg cup is shaped and finished by hand before being fired at high temperatures. The glaze is applied manually and develops a gentle glossy surface during the firing process. Because every piece is handmade, small variations in glaze tone, surface texture and form may occur. These variations are characteristic of handcrafted ceramics and give each handmade stoneware egg cup its individual appearance while maintaining a consistent overall shape.
The compact proportions hold eggs securely and are suitable for both soft-boiled and hard-boiled eggs. Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
