Product Description
A stoneware matcha pouring bowl from the Viola Beuscher studio, finished in a transparent glossy glaze over a creme stoneware body and made in Germany.
The form is a wide, shallow bowl with a small pouring spout, Ø 11 cm and H 6.5 cm. It gives the whisk room to move, so matcha is prepared directly in the bowl and then poured cleanly into any cup.
Each bowl is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald and fired at 1220 °C after 14 days across 12 work steps. Fired until the body vitrifies, the bowl stays food-safe without further sealing and goes in the dishwasher.
The transparent glaze lets the warm creme tone of the clay show through. Because every bowl is thrown and its spout pulled by hand, no two are shaped exactly alike.
