Matcha Whisk Holder - Creme
Product Description
A stoneware matcha whisk holder from the Viola Beuscher studio, finished in a transparent glossy glaze over a creme stoneware body and made in Germany.
The form is compact with a rounded cradle, Ø 5 cm and H 5 cm. It holds a bamboo whisk (chasen) upright between uses, so the prongs dry in shape instead of flattening against a surface.
Each holder is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald and fired at 1220 °C after 14 days across 12 work steps. Fired until the body vitrifies, it needs no further sealing and goes in the dishwasher.
The transparent glaze lets the warm creme tone of the clay show through, and because every holder is thrown by hand, no two are shaped exactly alike. The whisk is not included.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.

We focus on creating pottery that is both durable and crafted in a minimalistic yet cheerful style. Alongside our seasonal collections, we offer a core collection of timeless items that allow customers to build a sustainable collection over time.
