Matcha Whisk Holder - Gradient
Product Description
A stoneware matcha whisk holder from the Viola Beuscher studio with a soft airbrushed pink-to-red gradient on the exterior, made in Germany.
The form is compact with a rounded cradle, Ø 5 cm and H 5 cm. It holds a bamboo whisk (chasen) upright between uses, so the prongs dry in shape instead of flattening against a surface.
Each holder is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald and fired at 1220 °C after 14 days across 12 work steps. The interior is left raw, the exterior is airbrushed by hand in shades of pink and red.
Because the airbrushing is guided by hand, the reach and blend of the colour shift from piece to piece, so no two holders carry the same surface. The whisk is not included.
