Palo Santo Set - Creme
Product Description
A small altar set pairing a stoneware saucer in cream with three palo santo sticks, made in Germany.
The saucer follows the proportion of a Japanese mamezara, a flat dish with a vertical edge, Ø 11.5 cm. Its scale fits a single stick laid across the surface, with room for the ash to fall and stay contained. The palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is sustainably harvested from naturally fallen branches in Peru, then aged before being cut into sticks of roughly 10 cm.
The saucer is shaped from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. The finished ceramic is food-safe. The interior is finished with a single transparent glossy glaze that lets the natural cream tone of the fired clay come through unaltered. Fine variations in surface and tone remain part of the piece: small pinholes, or a marginally darker rim where the glaze settles.
For ritual smoke, scenting a room, or as a small dish for a stick of palo santo at the entrance or on a desk.
Saucer: Ø 11.5 cm · H 1.5 cm · 125 g · Stoneware, fired at 1220 °C · Transparent glossy glaze · Made in Germany · Palo santo: 3 sticks, approx. 10 cm each · sustainably sourced from Peru
