The Happy Edition is the studio's limited colour collection, released once a year since 2021. Where the rest of the range stays quiet, this one is loud: bold glazes, sprayed on by hand, made to bring colour to an everyday coffee ritual. Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand in the Viola Beuscher studio in Germany.
What is in the collection
The line-up is built around the morning table: coffee cups and espresso cups, saucers to match, breakfast plates and dinner plates, a breakfast bowl, and Palo Santo sets. Most pieces are also sold as sets of 2, 4, or 8, so a single cup can grow into a full table setting, and a Mix & Match bundle lets you put the colourways together yourself.
Colours and glazes
The current edition runs across Blue Gradient, Splash Red, Smiley Creme, Lilac Sky, New Dawn, Splash Lilac, Iceblue, and a deep Otis Black. The glazes are sprayed rather than dipped, which is what produces the gradients and the splashed, uneven edges, and it is also why no two pieces carry the same pattern.
Made by hand, made to use
Every piece is high-fired stoneware, fired until the body vitrifies, so it stays food-safe without further sealing and goes in the dishwasher. Colour depth, splash placement, and gradient direction shift from piece to piece. That is the point of the edition rather than a fault. Each edition is made in limited numbers and is not repeated once it sells out.
