Product Description
A small stoneware vase fully glazed in glossy black, made in Germany.
The form is compact and column-like with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 9 cm and H 16 cm. The proportion suits a short stem, a small dried arrangement, or stands on its own as a sculptural object.
Each vase is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes waterproof without further sealing. A deep black glossy glaze is applied to the whole vase — interior and exterior — and forms an even, mirror-like surface in firing. Slight differences in glaze depth occur between pieces.
For a single stem, a small dried arrangement, or as a sculptural object on a shelf or side table.
