Dinner Bowl - Iceblue
Product Description
A wide, shallow stoneware dinner bowl in a glossy ice blue glaze, made in Germany.
The form is broad and low with a softly sloped wall and a stable foot, Ø 22 cm and H 4,5 cm. The proportion sits between a deep plate and a serving bowl — wide enough for a full main course, contained enough to keep sauces and side elements gathered on the plate. The depth holds a pasta course, a curry or stew, a grain bowl, or a salad served warm.
Each bowl is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. An even, cool ice blue glossy glaze is applied to the whole bowl — interior and exterior — and forms a smooth surface in firing. Slight differences in glaze depth and gloss occur between pieces, but the colour is consistent.
For pasta, curry, stews, grain bowls, ramen, or a warm composed salad as the main course.
