Product Description
A generous stoneware dinner bowl in a warm glossy yellow glaze, thrown by hand in our studio in Germany.
The form is deep and open, Ø 18 cm and H 6 cm, holding 800 ml. That volume takes a full main course: pasta, a curry, a grain bowl, or a substantial soup, with enough depth to keep everything together rather than spread across the surface.
Each bowl is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. A glossy yellow glaze covers the bowl, and the depth of the colour shifts slightly from piece to piece depending on how thickly the glaze was applied.
This piece is a sample, made in small numbers outside our regular collections. Samples are prototypes, one-offs developed for a customer, or overproduction, and often only a single piece exists. It is fully functional and offered at a reduced price.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
