Product Description
A stoneware dinner plate in creme with a transparent glossy glaze, made in Germany.
The form is cylindrical and flat, with a vertical edge rather than a curved rim. At Ø 23.5 cm it carries a full main course, whether pasta, fish, or a composed plate of vegetables, and it reads as restrained on the table because the edge does not interrupt the line.
Each piece is shaped from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. The finished ceramic is food-safe. The surface carries a single transparent glossy glaze that lets the natural creme tone of the fired clay come through unaltered. Fine variations in surface and tone stay part of the piece, such as small pinholes or a marginally darker rim where the glaze settles.
For main courses, pasta, composed plates, or as a serving plate at the centre of the table.
