Espresso Cup - Blue Gradient
Product Description
A stoneware espresso cup from the Happy Edition with a sprayed gradient from deep to light blue on the exterior, made in Germany.
The form is small and cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 5,5 cm and H 5 cm, holding 75 ml — the contained volume of a classic single espresso.
Each cup is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The exterior is sprayed by hand with two glossy blue glazes — deep blue at the base, lighter blue toward the rim — in successive passes, so the transition stays soft and never falls the same way twice. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze. No two cups are identical: the height of the gradient and the density of each tone shift from piece to piece.
