Coffee Cup – Splash Red
Product Description
The Coffee Cup Splash Red is handmade in our Frankfurt studio and thrown on the potter’s wheel. The shape is clean and cylindrical, with straight walls and balanced proportions. Each cup is individually crafted and carefully finished after throwing.
A defining feature of this model is the partially applied bright red glaze on the exterior. The glaze is applied by hand in a free, organic movement, creating a dynamic splash effect. As a result, every cup shows slight variations in the glaze pattern. No two pieces are identical, yet they clearly belong to the same series. Parts of the exterior remain unglazed, revealing the natural matte texture of the stoneware in contrast to the glossy glaze.
The interior is fully coated with a transparent, food safe glaze. We use food safe glazes only. The cup is dishwasher safe and designed for everyday use.
Suitable for specialty coffee such as espresso, flat white, cappuccino or filter coffee, this cup also works well for batch brew, hand brew or cold brew. The proportions provide a stable grip and a balanced volume.
Handmade and handcrafted in Germany. Each piece is individually inspected. Variations in glaze flow and surface are characteristic of the made by hand production process.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
