The Matcha Set - Classic brings together a partially glazed pouring bowl, a matcha cup, and a transparent-glazed whisk holder from Viola Beuscher — paired with our Organic Hojicha Powder and a traditional bamboo whisk.
The ceramic pieces are wheel-thrown from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald, Ø 9–11 cm and H 6.5 cm, fired at 1220 °C after 14 days of craftsmanship and 12 work steps. Some pieces are fully glazed, others partially, showing bold contrasts of glossy black, deep red, and transparent shine.
The set includes our Organic Hojicha Powder (30 g, serves approx. 15) from Kagoshima, Japan — nutty, toasty, and mild with a hint of caramel — plus a 100% bamboo matcha whisk.
Everything needed to prepare and serve matcha, cold on summer days or warm and comforting year-round.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
