Matcha Set - Otis
Product Description
The Matcha Set - Otis brings together three hand-thrown stoneware pieces from the Viola Beuscher studio: a partially glazed pouring bowl, a matcha cup and a whisk holder in transparent glaze.
Every piece is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald and fired at 1220 °C after 14 days across 12 work steps. The pouring bowl measures Ø 11 cm, the cup Ø 9 cm at H 6.5 cm and 250 ml, the whisk holder Ø 5 cm. The ceramic pieces are food-safe and dishwasher safe.
Glossy black and transparent glazes meet the bare stoneware, and because each piece is dipped by hand, no two sets carry exactly the same contrast.
Together the three cover the whole ritual: whisk in the bowl, pour into the cup, stand the whisk in the holder to dry in shape. Tea and whisk are not included.
