Pedestal Bowl - Aleah Creme
Product Description
A small stoneware pedestal bowl from the Aleah series in creme clay, raised on a footed base and glazed clear and glossy throughout, made in Germany by Viola Beuscher.
The bowl measures Ø 16 cm and H 5 cm and weighs about 550 g. It is wider and flatter than the rosa version of the same series, so it works less as a container and more as a raised surface: a place to set fruit, a few pieces of bread, or jewellery at the end of the day.
Each piece is handmade from creme stoneware clay, with the foot made separately and joined while both parts are still soft. A clear glossy glaze covers the whole piece inside and out, which leaves the warm creme tone of the clay visible rather than covering it with colour.
The finished bowl is food-safe. Because the foot is joined by hand, the pedestal height varies slightly between pieces.
