Product Description
A wide, low stoneware serving bowl in creme, made in Germany.
The form is broad and shallow with a low wall, Ø 30.5 cm and H 5 cm, weighing 1.38 kg. At that width it holds salad for a full table, roast vegetables, or a bowl of fruit, and the low wall keeps everything in view and within reach instead of buried. It carries food from the kitchen straight to the table without a change of vessel.
Each bowl is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. A glossy creme glaze covers the bowl inside and out. Because each bowl is thrown and glazed individually, the wall thickness and the depth of the glaze differ slightly from piece to piece.
For salads, roast vegetables, fruit, or as a centrepiece serving bowl on a shared table.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.
