A set of four stoneware breakfast bowls from the Nomi series with raw, unglazed exteriors, made in Germany.
Each bowl is compact and rounded with curved walls and a stable base, Ø 15 cm and H 6 cm. Four of them cover breakfast for a household: muesli with yoghurt and fruit, a small soup, or a side of rice at dinner. Nomi means "to drink" in Japanese, and the series carries that spare, everyday character extended into bowls.
Every bowl is thrown individually on the potter's wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze, and the exterior is left raw, so the matte surface of the grey clay body stays visible and shifts subtly between the four bowls depending on how the clay took the firing.
For breakfast for four, small soups, side dishes, or as part of a layered table setting alongside the rest of the Nomi series.
