Product Description
A set of four stoneware breakfast plates, one in each of the four signature finishes of the studio: Creme, Iceblue, New Dawn, and Splash Red, made in Germany.
The form is cylindrical and flat, with a clean vertical edge rather than a curved rim. At Ø 19 cm each plate holds a bread roll with butter and jam, a slice of cake with fruit, or a small pasta course. The proportion sits between the European side plate and the Japanese mamezara: wide enough for a full breakfast, contained enough to keep the table composed.
Each piece is shaped from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. The finished ceramic is food-safe. The four finishes work together as a composed set. Creme leaves the natural cream tone of the fired clay visible under a transparent glossy glaze. Iceblue carries an even, cool blue glaze. New Dawn is sprayed by hand in a gradient of red, pink, and lilac. Splash Red shows a single hand-poured red splash on a transparent ground.
Four plates set a table for four, and because every plate is a different finish, each place setting reads as its own. Set buyers save 10 % compared to four single plates.
