Set of 4 - Espresso Cup - Nomi Creme
Product Description
A set of four stoneware espresso cups from the Nomi series with raw, unglazed exteriors, made in Germany.
The form is compact with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 5.5 cm and H 4.5 cm, holding 75 ml each, sized for a single concentrated espresso. Nomi means "to drink" in Japanese, and the series carries that spare, everyday character.
Each cup is thrown on the potter's wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze, while the exterior is left raw, so the matte texture of the grey clay body stays visible and shifts subtly between pieces depending on how the clay took the firing.
For a coordinated four-place espresso service at home, or as a set for a small café.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.

We focus on creating pottery that is both durable and crafted in a minimalistic yet cheerful style. Alongside our seasonal collections, we offer a core collection of timeless items that allow customers to build a sustainable collection over time.
We appreciate our community's feedback and use it to inform our collections, ensuring that our pieces resonate with those who use them while remaining true to our vision.
