Product Description
A set of four stoneware pasta bowls from the Nomi series with raw, unglazed exteriors, made in Germany.
Each bowl is wide and shallow with a gently sloped wall, Ø 18.5 cm and H 5 cm. Four of them serve a pasta course for a full table, and the width gives every portion room to spread instead of piling up, while the low wall keeps the sauce gathered in the centre. Risotto, gnocchi, grain bowls and shallow soups work just as well.
Every bowl is thrown individually on the potter's wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze, and the exterior is left raw, so the matte surface of the grey clay body stays visible and shifts subtly between the four bowls depending on how the clay took the firing.
For a pasta course for four, risotto, gnocchi, grain bowls or shallow soups, alongside the rest of the Nomi series.
