Description
This is a three-session pottery course for anyone who wants to dive deeper and learn from an experienced potter our founder, Viola Beuscher.
The class is designed to welcome both complete beginners and participants with existing experience who want to develop their skills in a calm and focused studio setting.
Each session lasts 4 hours and includes all materials: clay, glaze, and firing.
This intensive weekend class takes place in our ceramics studio in Frankfurt and is limited to eight participants. The small group size gives you enough room to practise on the wheel while still receiving personal guidance whenever needed.
What you will learn:
Session 1: Wheel throwing from scratch, creating series and plates, with a focus on exploring different approaches.
Session 2: Trimming, attaching handles, and basic decorating techniques. You’ll learn helpful tricks and small techniques that make a difference.
Session 3: Glazing your ceramic pieces, including a range of glazing methods, with their advantages and considerations explained.
Participants are always welcome to bring their individual questions; Viola will address them and integrate them into the course flow.
If you are unsure whether this class is the right fit for you and you would prefer to start with a beginner class, you can find our beginner courses here.
Your finished ceramics will be ready for pickup about one week after the final session. Please note that we can only store pieces for up to two months due to limited space in the studio.
All sessions take place on fixed dates and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
