Coffee Cup - Lilac Sky - Chef:In
Product Description
Part of Viola Beuscher x CHEF:IN, a limited ceramics edition created with CHEF:IN, a platform dedicated to showcasing and supporting female top chefs.
As a female-founded ceramic studio with an almost entirely female team, this collaboration is close to our hearts. This coffee cup carries the edition's Lilac Sky surface, a spray-painted gradient moving from warm pink into soft lilac, handmade in our Frankfurt studio.
The form is cylindrical with straight walls and a stable base, Ø 7.5 cm and H 6.5 cm, holding 190 ml, a contained volume well suited to flat white, cappuccino, or filter coffee, with enough room for latte art.
Each cup is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. The exterior is spray-painted by hand with two glossy glazes, warm pink at the base and soft lilac toward the rim, applied in successive passes, so the transition stays atmospheric and never falls the same way twice. The interior carries a transparent glossy glaze.
No two cups are identical, because the height of the gradient and the density of each colour shift from piece to piece.
