Coffee Cup - Yun Iceblue
Product Description
A stoneware coffee cup from the Yun series, fully glazed in ice blue, made in Germany.
The form is rounded with softly curved walls and a stable base, Ø 9 cm and H 6.5 cm, holding 240 ml, a larger volume well suited to flat white, cappuccino, or filter coffee, with enough room for latte art. The Yun shape sits naturally in the hand and reads softer than the cylindrical Nomi line.
Each cup is thrown on the potter's wheel from grey stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The glaze is an even, cool ice blue applied to the whole cup, inside and out, and forms a smooth glossy surface in firing. Slight differences in glaze depth and gloss occur between pieces, while the colour stays consistent.
For specialty coffee at home or in a café setting, particularly for milk-based drinks where the rounded form supports a comfortable grip.
