ae Set - Espresso Cup, Coffee Cup & Saucer – Pink & Gold Seconds
Product Description
A three-piece stoneware set in a soft pink glossy glaze with hand-painted gold, made in Germany as part of a limited collaboration with the Düsseldorf jewellery brand Ariane Ernst.
The set holds an espresso cup at Ø 5.5 cm, H 5 cm and 75 ml, a coffee cup at Ø 7.5 cm, H 6.5 cm and 190 ml, and a saucer at Ø 11 cm. The two volumes cover both ends of a coffee day, a single espresso and a flat white or cappuccino, and the saucer fits either cup, so this is a set for one person across the day rather than for two people at once.
Each piece is thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At this temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing. The soft pink glossy glaze covers every piece inside and out. After firing, a fine gold line is painted by hand around each cup and a gold ring around the centre of the saucer, in a second pass. Because the lines are drawn by hand, placement and weight vary slightly from piece to piece.
Hand wash recommended. The gold sits on top of the fired glaze rather than under it, so a dishwasher will wear it down over time even though the ceramic itself would take it.
These pieces are studio seconds, fully functional with small cosmetic flaws. They may be slightly warped, show glaze irregularities, carry fine hairline cracks on the underside, or hold tiny clay specks in the glaze. None of that affects use, and the set is offered at a reduced price.

Every item is handcrafted in our pottery studio in Frankfurt by our workshop team of six.
It takes about 10 to 14 days to make each piece, depending on the season and weather. The process includes ten steps: wedging, throwing, trimming, stamping, sponging, first firing, sanding, glazing, second firing, and grinding, ensuring that each piece is ready to use.
We put a lot of care and precision into our work because any oversight means starting over, so our team collaborates closely, ensuring that every step runs smoothly. We focus on creating durable and functional ceramics that bring our love for this craft into your everyday life.

We focus on creating pottery that is both durable and crafted in a minimalistic yet cheerful style. Alongside our seasonal collections, we offer a core collection of timeless items that allow customers to build a sustainable collection over time.
We appreciate our community's feedback and use it to inform our collections, ensuring that our pieces resonate with those who use them while remaining true to our vision.
