Matcha Set - Gradient with Ceremonial Matcha Supreme

The Matcha Set - Gradient brings together three hand-thrown stoneware pieces from the Viola Beuscher studio, a bamboo whisk and a tin of organic ceremonial matcha Supreme. Pouring bowl, matcha cup and whisk holder are each airbrushed by hand in a gradient of soft pink into deep red.
Every ceramic piece is thrown on the potter's wheel from stoneware clay sourced from the German Westerwald and fired at 1220 °C after 14 days across 12 work steps. The pouring bowl measures Ø 11 cm, the cup Ø 9 cm at H 6.5 cm and 250 ml, the whisk holder Ø 5 cm. Fired until the body vitrifies, all three stay food-safe without further sealing and go in the dishwasher.
The tea is our Organic Ceremonial Matcha Supreme, 30 g for roughly 15 servings, from the mountainous Kirishima region in Kagoshima: rich in umami with a natural, smooth sweetness and a fine, creamy texture, cultivars Okumidori and Tsuyuhikari. A 100 percent bamboo whisk (chasen) comes with it.
Because the airbrushing is guided by hand, the reach and blend of the colour shift from piece to piece, so no two sets carry the same surface. Nothing else is needed to start: whisk in the bowl, pour into the cup, stand the whisk in the holder to dry in shape.
