Every set we sell, gathered in one place: tableware services, cup and plate sets, matcha sets and bundle builders. Each piece is made by hand in our studio in Frankfurt am Main from stoneware clay and fired at 1220 °C. At that temperature the body vitrifies and becomes food-safe without further sealing, and everything here is dishwasher safe.
Sets are cheaper than singles
Buying a set costs less than buying the same pieces one by one. That is the whole point of this page. How much less depends on the set, and the saving is shown on each product.
How the sets are built
Cup and plate sets come in twos, fours, eights, and in one case six. Tableware services run from 6 to 28 pieces and combine cups, bowls and plates for two or four people. Matcha sets pair a pouring bowl, a cup and a whisk holder, with or without a bamboo whisk and organic tea. Bundle builders let you pick the pieces yourself instead of taking a fixed combination.
Which size for how many people
A 6 or 8-piece service sets a table for two. From 10 pieces upward cups are included. From 12 pieces the sets are built for four, and the 28-piece service is everything we make in creme for a table of four: three cup sizes, two bowl sizes and two plate sizes.
Made in Germany
Every piece in every set is thrown or shaped individually, so the pieces inside one set are close in size but never identical. Small differences in glaze thickness and tone are part of hand-thrown work.
