Sets from the Happy Edition, the studio's limited colour edition released once a year since 2021. Instead of single pieces, the sets pair two, four or eight matching pieces from one colourway: coffee cups, espresso cups, saucers, breakfast plates, dinner plates and Palo Santo sets. Every piece is thrown and glazed by hand in the Viola Beuscher studio in Germany.
What comes as a set
Coffee cups hold 190 ml and espresso cups 75 ml; both come as a set of two or four. Saucers, breakfast plates (Ø 19 cm) and dinner plates (Ø 23.5 cm) come as sets of two, four and eight, so a pair for a table of two and a full setting for eight are the same product line. The Mixed Colors sets and the Mix & Match bundle combine different colourways of one shape, and the Palo Santo sets pair a small stoneware dish with the wood.
Colours in the current edition
The sets run in Blue Gradient, Splash Red, Smiley Creme, Lilac Sky, New Dawn and Iceblue, plus Mixed Colors sets that put several of them on one table. The glazes are sprayed or poured by hand rather than dipped, which is what produces the gradients and the splashed, uneven edges. Within a set the pieces match in shape and colourway, never in pattern.
Why a set instead of single pieces
A set costs less than the same pieces bought singly, up to around 10 % on the larger sets, and it covers a table in one go: a set of two for a household of two, a set of four for the everyday table, a set of eight for hosting. Every piece is also sold on its own, so a set can be extended later in the same colourway while the edition lasts.
Made by hand, made to use
Every piece is high-fired stoneware, fired at 1220 °C until the body vitrifies, so it stays food-safe without further sealing and goes in the dishwasher. Colour depth, splash placement and gradient direction shift from piece to piece. That is the point of the edition rather than a fault. Each Happy Edition is made in limited numbers and is not repeated once it sells out.

Which set sizes are available? Cups come as sets of two and four. Saucers, breakfast plates and dinner plates come as sets of two, four and eight.
Are the pieces inside a set identical? No. The glazes are sprayed and poured by hand, so the pieces in one set share the shape and the colourway but carry different patterns.
Are the sets dishwasher safe? Yes. All pieces are stoneware fired at 1220 °C, food-safe and dishwasher safe. Hand washing keeps the glaze bright for longer.
Can a set be extended later? Yes, as long as the colourway is still in stock. Every piece is also sold singly, and each Happy Edition is limited and not repeated.
